PT MRT dan Transjakarta Akan Integrasikan Tiketnya

MRT to Have Two Subsidiaries to Manage Ticket and TOD Integration

The city-owned operator PT MRT will have two new subsidiaries engaged in ticket integration and transit-oriented development (TOD) in the near future.

We also plant to integrate with PT KCI and Transjakarta regarding ticket issues

PT MRT Jakarta President Director William P Sabandar said those subsidiaries will optimally support the parent company to smoothen ticket and TOD integration plan in carrying out its handling and supervision.

To realize it, his party plans to cooperate with PT Jakpro with three operators, namely MRT, Jakpro and Transjakarta.

PT. MRT to Carry Out Stations Arrangement

"We also plant to integrate with PT KCI and Transjakarta regarding ticket issues. Previously each transportation mode had its own ticket system, so this transportation user will use the same card in the future," he expressed, Monday (3/2).

It is slated to be operated in 2021. Moreover it already has agreement of Bank Indonesia on November 14, thus it will be easier for people to use mass transportation.

"PT MRT Jakarta and PT Transjakarta continue to follow the regulations of Bank Indonesia regarding the issuance of card issuers. Thus the MRT's multi trip card and KCI's multi trip card can be done on all tap machines. The formation of tasks and instruments is being adjusted thus it can be applied this year," he explained.

Besides that, the company will also be integrated with payment via QR code, either with Transjakarta or LRT Jakarta.

"That way, Jakarta will have one integrated ticket for all modes," he told.

In the meantime, PT Transjakarta corporate secretary Nadia Diposanjoyo added ticketing integration plan will be done through payment system integration.

"This means that all types of electronic money cards are able to access Jakarta and Transjakarta MRT and commuterline," he said.
